Dogs are welcome to come in costume to the dog park at the Lyon Oaks Nature Center, 52551 Pontiac Trail from 1-3 p.m. Oct. 21. For more information about the event, call (248) 437-7345.
The GreyHeart Greyhound Rescue and Adoption of Michigan's 2nd Annual Pasta Dinner will be held from 5-10 p.m. Oct. 21 at the American Legion Hall, 2079 W. Twelve Mile Road in Berkley. The event will feature an all-you-can-eat pasta dinner with pasta, salad, rolls and desserts as well as a 50/50 raffle and baked goods sale. An auction will follow dinner. Tickets will be available at the door.
The Rochester Hills and Farmington Hills Pets Supplies "Plus" stores will be having Halloween costume parties. The Rochester Hills store will host its party at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 while the Farmington Hills event will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 26. There will be a clown and a visit from Mike from Science Discovery for entertainment as well as games and sing a-longs for the whole family. There will also be treat bags for both kids and pets. Also there will be winners in each of the following categories for the costume contest: Best dressed, scariest, most unusual, cutest, funniest, ugliest dog, owner look alike and best pet trick. The Rochester Hills store is located at 2925 S. Rochester Road and the Farmington Hills store is located at 31130 Orchard Lake Road.
