Wanted: Photogenic pets for 2008 calendar
Do you have a favorite pet photo you can't resist sharing? Here's the chance to show it off! The Michigan Humane Society (MHS) is looking for metro Detroit's most photogenic pets for its 2008 Pet Calendar. For a $20 entry fee, your companion animal is guaranteed placement in MHS' 10th annual wall calendar. Photos must be in color, horizontal in layout, no larger than 4-by-6 inches and contain only animals. Polaroid® photos are not acceptable. For quality reasons, any color prints made at home on inkjet or laser printers will not be considered for "Pet of the Month." However, these types of prints will be accepted for the smaller photos used throughout the calendar. Any photo taken at a commercial studio must include a signed copyright release from the photographer. All entries that meet these requirements and are postmarked by June 15, 2007 will be included in the 2008 Pet Calendar. Enter by mailing a photo of your pet (one photo per entry fee) with a $20 check or money order to: Michigan Humane Society 2008 Calendar, 26711 Northwestern Highway, Ste 175, Southfield, MI 48033. Clearly mark your name, address, daytime and evening phone numbers, and your pet's name on the back of the photo using a permanent felt-tip marker. Do not use a ballpoint pen, which may damage the photo. An entry form can be downloaded from the Michigan Humane Society Web site at www.michiganhumane.org.
